Media Monitoring agencies are NOT watchdogs.  We do not monitor the media to ensure that the laws governing it are being adhered to…

Media Monitoring agencies are NOT spies. Big Brother is not watching you! Well he might be, but he doesn’t work here!  

Media Monitoring agencies DO track your media coverage be it press, broadcast, web news, social networks and beyond….we scour the press and airwaves etc to see what is being said about you or your company and who is saying it.  Once we find it all, we package it up nicely and make it available on a secure, easy-to-use online portal, with correseponding email alert. 


Why do I need Media Monitoring?

These days pretty much everyone has some type of formal or informal communications strategy within their organisation or company. It's critical to know what is being said about you, your competitors and your industry sector as a whole. Who's saying pretty things? Who's being nasty? Who's saying nothing at all? You can't read all the newspapesr from Cork to Donegal nor can you kick-back, watch and listen to every radio and TV station in the land. Imagine the multitude of potential taking place right now across the web and social media!

All content is delivered digitally and tailored specifically to your requirements. Options include:

What is a press cutting?

A press cutting, in terms of the service we deliver, is a digital reproduction of a newspaper story laid out in A4 size over one or more pages. We scan all our newspapers at high resolution and full colour. We then perform various rounds of wizzardry to produce a crisp, clean and perfectly clear version of the story that can be easily read on PCs, tablets and handheld devices. 

We also proof-read all the text that we extract from our scanned-in titles. This allows you to read both a text version plus have the option of viewing the original article as it appeared in the newspaper. The best of both worlds!    

What is an MP3?

An MP3 is a compressed digital audio file. 

MediaHub.ie can deliver an MP3 file direct to your inbox while maintaining a high standard piece of audio. 

For audio files of a significant duration, we can provide them to our client through file-sharing sites such as YouSendIt or MyDrive.

Alternatively, we can host them on your own personal portal or convert to CD and deliver to you by post or courier. 

What is an WMV / MP4?

WMV is a popular video format developed by Microsoft. The advantage of the format it that it allows the compression of large video files while retaining considerably high quality. These can be supplied via file-sharing sites, or again, hosted on a client's own personal portal.

MediaHub.ie can also provide such A/V files in other formats to suit our client's needs, including .MP4, .AVI and .MPG.

We can also just pop it on a DVD and deliver to you by post/courier. 

 

 

What's happened to Business World?

Nothing! BusinessWorld.ie continues to operate daily as a comprehensive business news and information service. But it’s true to say our range of media monitoring services kinda got lost among the mix of Business World so change was definitely required.

That's why we've split these operations and given our media monitoring serices a full new dedicated brand and identity.

I'm still receiving a media monitoring service from Business World. What's going to happen that?

We have rolled most of our clients over onto our new media monitoring portal at MediaHub.ie. The final version of this system will become live in the coming weeks. Some of you are still on our older portal at Business World for both technical reasons or contractual.

We will be contacting you in due course to demo the final version of our new portal. If you like what you see, we can move your service over in a jiffy. If are happy where you are, that's no problem either.

Ok, what's the catch? Am I going to be charged more for our current service?

No way! We're just keen to update our service features and offer you more.
